Although you might find a few references to the law, these rules are simply an appeal for decent work conditions for domestic workers in Nigeria. Below, I will be using the term “House girl” but the expression extends to domestic workers of all genders, with nomenclature such as “houseboy”, “nanny”, “maid”, “help”, “cleaner”, “cook” etc.
